Wines of the World: Part 1 Live Online (Oct 2023)

Designed for wine enthusiasts and professionals seeking to enhance their wine knowledge, the Wines of the World interactive course series consists of two parts and covers a wide range of global wine regions. The courses provide an engaging, judgment-free learning experience without digital slide decks or final exams. Part 1 comprises four 3-hour classes covering Burgundy, Rhône Valley, Loire Valley, Champagne, Germany, Austria, Australia, and New Zealand wine regions. Participants will learn to serve still and sparkling wines confidently, master a systematic approach to wine tasting through tasting 24 high-quality wines, explore different sparkling wine production processes, understand the impact of wine glass selection, develop intermediate food and wine pairing skills, and grasp how environmental factors and winemaking decisions influence wine style and quality. Live Online students receive a special tasting kit of 50ml wine samples that will be tasted in the live virtual sessions. For those outside the shipping area, we provide a list of wines we will taste and potential substitutes to purchase.
