The WSET Level 1 Beginner Saturday Course (#W1003) is a one-day program perfect for individuals launching their wine journey, whether for personal enjoyment or as a step towards a professional career. This engaging and fun course includes interactive group exercises, mock exams, and instructor support to ensure you're well-prepared for the test. Join us to develop your wine knowledge and tasting skills, making connections with fellow enthusiasts along the way! WSET Level 1 is perfect for: • Wine Enthusiasts seeking to expand their wine knowledge and experience • Hospitality and wine industry professionals with limited wine proficiency What you'll learn: • Main types and styles of wine • Common wine grapes and their characteristics • How to store and serve wine • Principles of food and wine pairing • Describing wine using the WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT) Registration includes: • 6 hours of world-class classroom instruction and the guided tasting of 9 quality wines from around the world • All exam fees, a framable WSET certificate, and lapel pin upon successful course completion • Course materials • Lunch will be provided (sandwiches, drinks, coffee) Course Dates & Times: • Saturday, 23 March 2024 - 10:00 am - 6:30 pm (lunch provided) • ASSESSMENT: 30-question exam (45 minutes) given at the end of the day Recommendations: There are no requirements for candidates to have previous knowledge or previous experience of alcoholic beverages. Candidates are not required to dedicate additional private study outside of class for the successful completion of this course. Course Policies: Candidates must be over the legal minimum age for the retail purchase of alcoholic beverages in Switzerland. Cancellations must be communicated via email to info@zurichwineacademy.com up to 15 calendar days before the start of the course for a full refund. If the cancellation is communicated after this period, the student will lose the right to a refund.
