We are Zürich's permanent full-time wine school.  Our dedicated space gives us versatility and transforms to offer the perfect ambiance for classes, tastings, events, and community gatherings.

We are a results-oriented educational organization with a proven track record of student successes.  Currently, we have a 95% exam pass rate with 41% of our students achieving Distinguished-level results across all of our WSET and Wine Scholar Guild programs!  Students who achieve final exam scores higher than Joe B's scores when he completed the WSET and Wine Scholar Guild courses are awarded a bottle of quality Champagne!  It pays to be a winner at the Zürich Wine Academy🍾

 

3. Course Resources

We have a collection of over 80 wine maps and topographic (3-D) maps, an extensive wine library, over 50 rock and soil samples, vines and rootstocks, and other hands-on resources.  Everything you need to elevate your knowledge, whether you're new in the world of wine or you're in the wine and hospitality industries.

4. Location, Location, Location!

We have the most convenient location in central Zürich, just 50 meters from the Stauffacher Tram station in Kreis 4.

5. Highest Quality Wines

We provide top-quality wine samples with an average price per bottle exceeding CHF 30 for our courses.​

6. Ultimate Flexibility

We livestream and record all our classes, allowing students the flexibility to accommodate busy schedules.  We bottle wines in 50ml sample containers when students miss class at no additional charge.​

7. Unlimited Refreshments

We offer gourmet coffee, premium teas, and sparkling water to our students.  We provide lunch from Joe & The Juice for our weekend classes.​

8. Complete Wine Education

We offer a range of WSET Wines and Spirits courses, Wine Scholar Guild courses, and MasterClasses in English and German.  We organize special complimentary wine events exclusively for our students and alumni.​

9. Personal Attention

We limit classes to 12 students to ensure dynamic classroom discussions.  We NEVER cancel a course due to a minimum number of students required.​​​

10. Top Instructors

Our team holds certifications from the most prestigious institutions in the wine industry with our lead wine instructor earning the WSET Diploma (Level 4), the Certified Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers (CMS), and the Wine & Spirits MBA from the Burgundy School of Business.  Joe B brings the most current and applicable wine education as a Master of Wine (MW) candidate and CMS Advanced Sommelier candidate.
