Discover wine with confidence through the Zürich Wine Academy’s Wine Confidence Course! This interactive course is perfect for those who want to enhance their wine knowledge without committing to a full certification program. No prior wine knowledge is needed, as the classes are designed to be fun and judgment-free. The course comprises two 3-hour classes covering various topics. You'll learn a standardized approach to wine tasting while sampling 12 high-quality wines from around the world. The course also provides an overview of the wine world, covering wine production from grape to glass. Confidently navigate restaurant wine lists in casual and business settings after this course. You'll also learn the proper way to open and serve a bottle of still wine, following Sommelier Service Standards. Moreover, you'll get hands-on experience with wine accessories like bottle openers, aerators, decanters, and Coravin products. To help you make informed wine purchases, the course delves into leveraging expert ratings, wine awards, and wine publications. Live Online students will receive a tasting kit of 50ml wine samples, which may be shipped within Switzerland and Lichtenstein at no additional charge. For those outside our shipping area, we provide the list of wines we will taste and potential substitutes for you to purchase on your own.
