About
The French Wine Scholar In-Person Course, 100% in English, is designed for wine enthusiasts and trade professionals seeking expertise in French wines. Taught by a Certified Sommelier and WSET Diploma graduate, the program covers major French wine regions like Burgundy, Bordeaux, Champagne, and others, presenting each area within its cultural context. Participants will taste a minimum of 36 wines during the course and receive the official 330-page study manual. The course spans six 3.5-hour sessions and concludes with an in-person examination at the Zürich Wine Academy. We record all of our classes, so don't worry if you miss a class. Successful candidates earn the French Wine Scholar certification and a lapel pin. The program is ideal for intermediate and advanced students preparing for wine qualifications and requires additional self-study outside of the classroom.
