Napa Valley: Tasting the Terroir MasterClass with Rienne Bilz, Luxury Brand Ambassador and Certified Sommelier

On Friday, 16 February 2024, 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm, we will explore Napa Valley’s treasured wines with our special guest, Rienne Bilz, the Luxury Brand Ambassador of famous Napa Valley estates such as Louis M. Martini, Pahlmeyer, Orin Swift, and more.  Rienne is also a Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers and WSET Level 3!  Join us in this fabulous chance to explore unique appellations that make Napa Valley's wine renowned globally!  We'll be tasting seven wines from the Napa Valley while light refreshments, including vegan-friendly options, will be provided.

We afford time at the start and conclusion of the event to get to know the other event participants and meet new wine-loving friends.  We pride ourselves in providing a judgment-free learning experience, and no prior wine knowledge is required!

Our event facilitator, Joe B, will partner with Rienne to bring the region and its history, unique terroir, and fantastic wines to life.  Joe earned his Certified Sommelier qualification from the Court of Master Sommeliers – Europe achieved the Level 4 Diploma in Wines from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET), graduated from the Burgundy School of Business Wine & Spirits MBA Program, and is an Italian, French, Spanish, and Sherry Wine Scholar with the Wine Scholar Guild.  Joe is preparing to further his wine education by pursuing admission into the Master of Wine Program and the Advanced Sommelier qualification.

We will host this experience at the Zürich Wine Academy, conveniently located at Werdstrasse 8, 8004 Zürich, only 50 meters from the Stauffacher tram station.

This MasterClass is exclusive, and space is limited to 12 participants.  We do this to allow you to have an intimate discussion with our wine expert and to drive the conversation to topics you want to learn about and discuss.  It's the ideal environment to learn, connect with like-minded people, and make new friends.
