About the event
On Thursday, 11 January 2024, 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm, we will explore South Africa’s diverse wine landscape with our special guest, Ueli Schmidt, owner of Zürich's wine importer Wein & Sein (https://www.weinundsein.com/) and WSET Level 4 Diploma holder.  We'll be tasting seven South African wines and light refreshments will be provided.  We afford time at the start and conclusion of the event to get to know the other event participants and meet new wine-loving friends.  We pride ourselves in providing a judgment-free learning experience, and no prior wine knowledge is required!
Our event facilitator, Joe B, will partner with Ueli to bring South Africa and its history, unique terroir, and fantastic wines to life.  Joe earned his Certified Sommelier qualification from the Court of Master Sommeliers – Europe, achieved the Level 4 Diploma in Wines from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET), graduated from the Burgundy School of…
