Wines of the World: An Introduction to Wine and Wine Tasting

What is wine tannin? How about acidity in wine? What’s the difference between full-body and light-body wines? How are Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc different? They sound the same! 🍷JOIN US🍷 for the Wines of the World: An Introduction to Wine and Wine-Tasting Event on Thursday, 18 May 2023, from 6:30pm-8:30pm where we will learn the basics of grape growing, wine production, and wine tasting! This event is designed for those who enjoy wine and wish to learn more about what’s in their glass. We will taste five wines during the experience, and light appetizers such as cheeses, vegetables, meats, and vegan-friendly options will be provided.

Joe, a Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) Diploma graduate, Burgundy School of Business Wine & Spirits MBA graduate, and future Master of Wine Student, will simplify the grape growing process and clearly articulate how wineries transform grapes into wine. Additionally, Joe will teach us wine-tasting terminology and how to communicate our wine preferences confidently. This is a judgment-free learning experience, and no prior wine knowledge is required! At the conclusion of the event, Joe will facilitate a fun and interactive group activity to connect you with the other attendees.

We will host this experience at Trust Square's event space, conveniently located 100 meters from Paradeplatz at Poststrasse 5-7, 8001 Zürich. Please look for the white Trust Square sign.

This event is exclusive, so space is limited. We do this to allow you to have an intimate discussion with the wine expert and to drive the conversation to topics you want to learn about and discuss.
