The WSET Level 1 Beginner Course in Wines (#W1029) is a one-day program for people starting their wine journey, whether for personal enjoyment or as a step toward a professional career. This engaging, fun course includes interactive group exercises, mock exams, and instructor support to help you prepare for the examination at the conclusion of the course. Join us to build your wine knowledge and tasting skills, and connect with fellow enthusiasts along the way! WSET Level 1 is perfect for: • Wine Enthusiasts seeking to expand their wine knowledge and experience • Hospitality and wine industry professionals with limited wine proficiency What you'll learn: • Main types and styles of wine • Common wine grapes and their characteristics • How to store and serve wine • Principles of food and wine pairing • Describing wine using the WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT) Registration includes: • 9 hours of world-class classroom instruction and the guided tasting of 9 quality wines from around the world • All exam fees, a digital WSET certificate, and a lapel pin upon successful course completion • All course materials • Lunch will be provided (sandwiches from Joe & the Juice, chips, salads, fruit, drinks, coffee) Course Dates & Times: • Saturday, 12 December 2026: 10:00 am - 7:45 pm (lunch provided from Joe & the Juice) • ASSESSMENT: 30-question exam (45 minutes) given at the end of the day Recommendations: For candidates without prior knowledge or experience with wine, we recommend spending one to two hours reviewing the WSET Level 1 Study Guide before the course, especially the sections on Principal Grape Varieties, Examples of Wine, and Pairing Wine & Food.
